General Care

Do not place items in the dishwasher.

Do not submerge in water.

Avoid heat, extreme cold, and chemicals.

Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry with a soft towel.

If you are a business and have had a custom made and/or installed piece we recommend contacting us for care instructions based on the type of finish/products used.

Food-Safe Items

Food-safe products may be refreshed with beeswax or cutting board oil every few months.

Only store food on SP Wood Art items listed as food safe.
Kitchen Item Care

Wash with warm water and mild soap.

Dry immediately with a towel.

Let the item air-dry flat or on a raised rack.

Avoid vegetable, olive, peanut, or walnut oils because they can go rancid.
Fountain Pen Care

Do not clean fountain pens with chemicals or alcohol.
-
Do not use hot water, as heat can damage internal parts.
-
For ink-flow issue, remove the cartridge or pump and soak the nib in cold water overnight, then pat dry.

Do not apply heavy pressure to the nib.

Clean the nib every second ink change, unless changing ink colors.

Do not store ink in fountain pens for long periods.

Store fountain pens upright with the nib facing up.
Ink and Pencil Refills

We do not currently sell ink refills, rollerball refills, fountain pen refills, pencil refills, or replacement erasers.

Each pen comes with an ink cartridge installed, except fountain pens, which may ship with the cartridge uninstalled.

Most pens come with black ink.

Many pens can use different color refills.

Sizing Details
Most product dimensions are listed in the product description of item page. Some writing instruments and smaller items may not include full sizing details.
Need exact dimensions, scale, or weight before purchasing? Contact us and we will be happy to provide more information.
For custom desks, tables, or larger pieces, businesses may contact us directly to discuss sizing, space requirements, and design needs.
Custom and Personalized Orders
We create custom works of art for homes and businesses. If you have an idea, need a specific size, or are looking for a special design, please contact us to discuss your project.
Custom options may include wood type, size, shape, hardware finish, and overall design style. For local businesses near the Bonney Lake, WA area, we may also be able to create custom-fit pieces for desks, tables, clocks, wall art, reception areas, and more.
At this time, we do not offer engraving or personalization with names, dates, statements, or messages. Most pieces may include the artist’s initials and year, or item number, unless items are too small.
